I saw this online today, and it seems to be getting all kinds of attention. Seems like a good idea, and if I weren’t sitting with my leg propped up, I’d try it right now. So here it is. Please comment with results!
Any flavor boxed cake mix, i.e. Red Velvet, Spice Cake, Vanilla, Devils Food, Strawberry…
1/2 – 3/4 can sweetened condensed milk
1. Preheat oven 350 degrees F.
2. Dump dry cake mix into bowl. Add three eggs; begin to mix with fork.
3. Add 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk; continue to mix.
Note: The mix should have a cookie dough consistency so if it is too dry, add a tablespoon (or more) only of the Sweentend Condensed milk at a time. You don’t want to add too much. If you do happen to add too much, dont fret, just throw some flour in it.
The dough will have some residual powder cake mix, which is fine.
4. Take a tablespoonful at a time and roll into balls about the size of a golf ball (or however large or small you want your cookies). Roll the balls in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet (preferrably stone) and bake at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until they are the texture you want them (crunchy or chewy).
EXTRAS: More ways to try the cookies:
Take vanilla cake mix and add a softened block of cream cheese with the three eggs and less milk. Wonderful frosted with cream cheese frosting and topped with crushed peppermint!
If you want you could add any candy at all: M&M’s, Hershey Kisses, Andes Mints, Chocolate Chips
We have also made ice cream sandwich cookies with them.
Have fun–this recipe is so versatile you will make more cookies than ever!
